Diamonds manufacturer has operational facilities all over Asia & Africa and has more than 900 employees worldwide. MIS team maintains an internal web application for employees from various locations. But for the Upper management accessing the application is not always viable as they are mostly on the road and became very hard to review and approve leave requests by the employees.
We have recommended a Mobile App targeted towards Upper Management, so they can be always updated on latest requests. Phase 1 of the App, does exactly that, review Employee details such as name, photo and department, get previous leave history and take action such as Approve, Reject or Modify based on the information available. This has immensely reduced the turnaround time for approvals and made the employees happy, as many of the employees are expats and they need to plan ahead if going on a vacation.
In addition to leave requests, Management also can find employees based Location, Type, Division, Department, Sub Department and Position along with photograph of employees. Optionally, an employee can be searched from the list available. This has helped the Management to find employees quickly and efficiently and is always available anytime.
App is published in the App store and used by the Management regularly to keep track on all things regarding employees.
